WISE Within Professional Development Breakfast – August 24th, 2018

WISE Within held another successful meet-up on the morning of Friday, August 24^th.  Mentors and mentees enjoyed gathering for a light breakfast with great conversation to close out everyone’s busy week.  The host of the August meet-up was the home of the Houston Rockets, Toyota Center, with WISE members Gretchen Sheirr, Dawn Keen, Zanetta Jones and Leilani Costa.

Today’s topic of discussion was “Personal Brand” and how clothing and social media affect each professional in the work place.  We were fortunate to have Stevie Bingham, Houston’s leading style expert, to come and speak to WISE Within.

Stevie is a renowned personal stylist and wardrobe consultant with more than 15 years of experience in the business.  She shared various experiences and advice on how to build a functional and stylish wardrobe that does not break the bank.  Shoes, “basic essentials” and “Rent the Runway” were a few key elements discussed with Stevie and mediated by Dolores Lozano, WISE Within Committee member.

Afterwards, the mentors and mentees split up into round table discussions to dive deeper and more one-on-one about “Personal Brand.”  It was a fruitful morning and great way to face the weekend to either organize your closet or shop for those “basic essentials.”
