Rockets Red Night at Toyota Center – October 9th, 2018

On Tuesday, October 9^th WISE members enjoyed a great evening out cheering on our Houston Rockets competing against the Shanghai Sharks for their last home preseason game of the 18-19 season. About 40 members arrived for the Shootaround Experience where they had exclusive courtside access for pregame warm-ups. Members enjoyed meeting with Rockets legend, Calvin Murphy and Assistant Coach for Player Development, John Lucas. The ladies were able to take photos in the floor seats, chat with their friends, and watch the players do some individual practice with their coaches, including H-Town’s Gerald Green!

After the Shootaround Experience, WISE was escorted to the loft for a pregame reception with food & drinks and to watch the game, in which more of our members arrived. At the end of the 1^st quarter, our loft was featured for Suite of the Night where WISE Houston was welcomed with open arms!

Half-time came and we celebrated by giving away six great Rockets inspired raffle prizes: Rockets hat and Tracy McGrady limited edition bobblehead, fleece blanket, $50 Landry’s gift card, $50 Team Shop gift card, Rockets engraved drinking glasses, and Rockets sports luggage.

Gretchen Sheirr, Membership Committee Chair and Chief Revenue Officer of the Houston Rockets, spoke a few minutes on the importance of our WISE Women of Inspiration event that will be held at the Royal Oaks Country Club in December.

We capped off the event with an amazing group photo and a Rockets victory 128-86. Thanks again to everyone that came out and made this event spectacular! GO ROCKETS!
