2021 WISE Houston Book Club

We completed our first book!

Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis was the perfect warm up for what’s in store for our WISE Houston Book Club. Shortly after the book was announced as our first selection, Rachel Hollis, made headlines when she spoke on Instagram Live, emitting comments that spurred controversary and sparked an array of emotions throughout the community and amongst her following. Between our two meetings, we were able to dive into how her actions changed and shaped our views on her book and her impact as a best-selling author. We reflected on what it means to grow through adversity, challenging ourselves with “lies” that we tell ourselves as women, and how we thrive even when we feel like giving up.

As we continue our journey, we are looking forward to starting our next book selected by one of our very own members called Atomic Habits by James Clear. Check it out on Amazon!

Please RSVP below to let us know that you’ll be reading along and to receive more information!
