Dynamo Game at BBVA Compass Stadium – July 9th, 2018

On July 9^th, a group of WISE women enjoyed cheering on the Houston Dynamo as they beat the Minnesota United FC 3-0 and extended their winning streak at BBVA Compass Stadium to 6 league matches.  Before the game, the group met at former Dynamo player Brian Ching’s newly launched Pitch 25 Beer Park across the street from the Stadium and during the game, we had visits from WISE members Lana Ramirez, Tiffani Whittington and Laura Hanger, who all work with the Dynamo and shared some insights about the team and the stadium.

 

The excitement of the group was best exhibited after the Dynamo scored each of their three goals when we took part in the Stadium tradition of throwing orange streamers down to the field.  In addition, since the Dynamo scored two goals, we all left with a buy one get one free Box Combo at Raising Cane’s and because of the win, a free Jumbo Jack at Jack in the Box.

 

 

WISE Member Frances Castaneda Dyess shares, “Watching a Dynamo game with WISE members is something I am still smiling about!  It was a great way to unwind and have conversations with women who are like minded and support one another.  The women of WISE also brought the Dynamo good luck, as we won that game!”
