Derby Day at Sam Houston Race Park – May 5th, 2018
On May 5th, WISE members headed out to Sam Houston Race Park in their Derby Hats to watch the 144th annual Kentucky Derby. A fun time was had by all as we picked our favorites to win the Derby, had our pictures taken in the Winner’s Circle on the Paddock and had the WISE Derby Best Hat Contest. While all the hats that day were awesome, our independent judges had the task of selecting the top three winners: Terri Glenn (First Place), Glenda Demas (Second Place) and Robin Bennett (Third Place).
